Reflection
Today was one of the worse day I had ever lived through. Our mother told Jill an I to fetch a pail of water, but on the way, I saw a snake and out of curiosity, used my pail to hit it. It turned to face me and tried to bite me. I jumped back and tripped, and fell down the hill. Although the deep scare at the back of my head still exist, I was glad that I was not bitten by that highly venomous snake, as I might have lost a limb or two. From this painful experience, I learned that we should leave wild animals alone. I was also very glad that my mother was knowledgeable and knew the perfect recipe to heal my wound: vinegar with brown paper.
Argumentative
In my opinion, parents should not ask their children to fetch water on hills by themselves. At the very least, an adult must be accompanying them. When small children walk up hills, they are unaware of the dangers that they might face. Children like to play on hills, where their parents are not nagging at them, and they have freedom. But, there are many rocks and stones and slippery areas on the hill, where children might fall down. Without the parents' supervision, children would play all sorts of dangerous things like running about in slippery areas. This might result them to fall, and they might by severely injured. A recent example was Jack, who fell from the top of a hill. This sparked a media sensation. With an adults' supervision, they would stop children from playing in dangerous areas of the hill. Although the well on the great hill of this town contains a large supply of water, I strongly believe that parents should not ask their children to fetch water on hills by themselves.
Reflection on assignment
After doing this assignment, I find that this assignment was very interesting and I learned alot. This assignment really tests us on our creativity and our ability to understand things. Through this assignment, I realised how we can transform a simple nursery rhyme into different forms of passage. By expanding the rhyme, we need to have a deep understanding of the rhyme. This was also a very fresh approach to learning as I had never tried this our before. In conclusion, I feel that this assignment is really helpful in training our writing skills and I hope to have more of this type of assignments.
